ZED Tuition Covid-19 Policy – 2021


As the Covid-19 pandemic persists, the health and wellbeing of the ZED Tuition Pty Ltd (“ZED”) team and our students, is at the forefront of our minds. 


The ZED Tuition Covid-19 Policy has been developed to provide confidence that ZED can continue to operate safely in light of the pandemic. This Policy has been designed to ensure that ZED’s team, its students and families work in collaboration to take reasonable measures outlined therein, to protect the health and safety of the ZED family. 


Any change to this Policy will be communicated to the ZED family and visitors as soon as possible.


COVID SAFE CHECK IN AND ATTENDANCE RECORDS

The attendance of all students attending class at one of ZED’s offices will be recorded by the teaching staff. 


If parents, families or other persons enter ZED’s premises for any reason, including to drop off and collect students, they must complete the Service NSW Covid Safe Check In using the QR Code displayed in the office.


Personal details of attendees may be disclosed by ZED upon request by NSW Health or another related NSW or Federal department for the purposes of notifying persons of a potential exposure to Covid-19, or otherwise may be disclosed pursuant to ZED’s Terms and Conditions.


ILLNESS

It would be appreciated if you could refrain from attending ZED’s office whilst you are sick, suffering from any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you suspect that you may be getting sick. For further information of Covid-19 symptoms we direct you to the Australian Government Department of Health website.


If anyone attending ZED’s office is observed to be sick, they will be asked to leave as soon as possible. If it is a student who is ill or otherwise becomes ill during class, their nominated emergency contact person will be called so that the student can be collected. We would appreciate your cooperation with these requests as they will be made in the interests of the health and wellbeing of all students, families and the ZED team.


Students who miss class due to illness, may be able to virtually attend the class through an electronic platform such as Zoom, or any other platform preferred by ZED, or may be able to attend a make-up class pursuant to ZED’s Terms and Conditions.


CONTACT WITH RETURNED TRAVELLERS/ COVID CASES

If a student or a household member has returned from overseas, been in contact with a returning overseas traveller, has tested positive for Covid-19 or been in contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19, the student and their family will be excluded from ZED’s office for a period of 14 days from:


  • The date of the student’s or their household member’s return from overseas; or
  • The date of the most recent contact with the returning traveller or contact with the positive case, where that person is not a household member;
  • The date of their last positive Covid-19 result;

and will not be allowed to return until a negative Covid-19 result is obtained outside the relevant 14 day period set out above.


NOTIFICATION OF COVID CASE

If a ZED team member, student, family member or other attendee to ZED’s office, or an employee, contractor, client or visitor to another tenant in the building is diagnosed with, or suspected of having contracted Covid-19, then we will immediately inform persons who had contact or may have had contact with the suspected Covid-19 patient. 


Any contact identified is required to undertake a Covid-19 test and comply with any government direction as to self-isolation. Any contact will not be allowed to return to the ZED office until 14 days from the date of contact and until a negative result has been received. Contacts should also continue to monitor for any symptoms and seek further testing and medical intervention as appropriate. 


HYGIENE

Immediately upon entering ZED’s reception, we kindly ask that you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with the hand sanitiser provided, and as required during your attendance, including after sneezing, coughing or using the bathroom.


SOCIAL DISTANCING

Whilst attending ZED’s office, all students, their family and other attendees, must maintain a social distance of at least 1.5 metres from other parties.


Students are asked to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to class, to minimise the number of people in the reception area and are asked to depart immediately upon the conclusion of class (and once their parents, guardians, carer or other responsible adult has arrived).


If office capacity has been reached, students, their party and other attendees, are respectfully asked to remain outside the office until others leave the reception area. It would be appreciated if you could minimise any noise whilst waiting outside.


The classroom/s have been designed to ensure that students are not seated directly adjacent to another student, although from time to time, irrespective of our best efforts, this may not be physically possible. Students will be required to sit at the marked locations. Classrooms will accommodate a reduced capacity of 10 students in an effort to maximise social distancing. 

At this time, masks are not required in ZED’s reception or classroom/s, however, this may be subject to change depending on recommendations or mandates from the State Government. Students, their families and other attendees will be notified of any change to this policy as soon as possible.


CLEANING

Whilst ZED has always maintained a thorough cleaning regime, we have implemented additional measures in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic:


  • High touch surfaces such as light switches, the reception desk and reception chairs are being wiped down on a daily basis, with disinfectant wipes consisting of at least 60% alcohol or antibacterial spray, 
  • Classroom tables, chairs and door handles are cleaned using disinfectant wipes with at least 60% alcohol content, or antibacterial spray, after each class;
  • We would ask that all dirty tissues, cups and other rubbish be immediately placed in the closed lid- garbage bins provided and these will be emptied regularly;
  • After each use of the EFTPOS machine, the machine will be disinfected with wipes with at least 60% alcohol;  
  • Regular deep cleans of the offices.
